About the Artist

I’m Janet, a landscape photographer with roots in Brooklyn and Long Island. My creative journey began in advertising in New York City, where I learned the power of visual storytelling. That career eventually took me abroad, immersing me in diverse cultures and perspectives that continue to shape how I see the world.

Living and working internationally broadened my way of thinking — even learning Spanish opened a window into understanding how others experience life. Today, I channel that same curiosity and openness through my camera.

Although I never set out to specialize in landscapes, I found myself drawn to the outdoors again and again. Whether it’s a solitary tree, a windswept field, or dunes along the beach, I feel an emotional connection to these places. Photography allows me to translate that connection into images that carry moods, feelings, and atmosphere — a way of communicating without words.

Now, I live a much quieter life in northern Vermont with my partner, Graham, and our rescue pit bull, Lola. Surrounded by nature, I find daily inspiration in the changing seasons and the quiet beauty of the landscape. For me, landscapes are more than scenery; they are invitations to pause, reflect, and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us every day.
