Mount Philo is a Vermont State Park in Charlotte with sumptuous views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. The elevation is only 968 feet, but it’s an often-visited place for its landscapes. This photo was taken of a small but brilliant oak sapling in autumn. I will revisit this spot over the summer to see how it’s grown.
